Collaboration

Parents are involved in the journey and supported to assist your child for greater progress. After all, parents are the

greatest teachers!

What Happens First?

Prior to tuition commencing, we will arrange to meet with parents at your home. This is an opportunity for us to explain what we strive for in terms of supporting your child, and for your child to meet us in a relaxed context.

This part of the service is free of charge.

What is Involved in the Sessions?

The first session is an assessment session which allows us to find out your child's current learning level and areas of need in order to correctly support your child.

1 hour sessions: These sessions involve 50 minutes of Phonics teaching and 10 minutes at the end of the session to provide personalised feedback to parents.

30 minute sessions: These sessions involve 25 minutes of Phonics teaching and 5 minutes at the end of the session to provide personalised feedback to parents.

Personalised feedback relates to:

  • Your child's progress
  • Your child's areas of need and next steps
  • Strategies you can try at home to further support your child (optional)

It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share any concerns you may have.

Alongside weekly support, you will also receive a detailed report each half term, formally outlining your child's progress, areas of need, and next steps that will be put in place to continue supporting your child throughout the following half term.
